After Kenta defeated CM Punk he became the new number one contender for the WFL World Heavyweight Championship. After their fantastic match at WFL Slam, Devitt faces Kenta again, this time with the championship on the line.

Broken Sunday by Saliva hits and WFL World Heavyweight Champion, Prince DEVITT walks out to a great reaction from the crowd. He steps into the ring and gets a microphone.
"Ok, ok a lot of you have already said that Kenta is a huge threat to my championship and I know that. He is a fantastic competitor as I found out when I faced him at WFL Splash. We put on an amazing match and then I went on to the main event and won this little beauty. I became the very first WFL World Heavyweight Champion and I will remain champion for a long time.
Don't mistake that for me being arrogant or over-confident, but I am very confident in my own abilities. I proved that I am the best in this company at WFL Splash because I won a Battle Royal which involved our entire male roster. Now I turn my attention to the next step, defending this championship successfully at Gold.
